Do things that count, but don't count the things you do.

Tomorrow, smile at a perfect stranger and mean it.

Forget about being impressive and commit to being real. Because being real is impressive!

Moving on is not about forgetting. It's about moving forward and never looking back.

Notes To My Younger Self - Rose, if you believe in something and you want it so much and you're not hurting anyone else, you have to go for it. Which sometimes means taking a risk, even if it's scary. But the thing you want most to happen doesn't stand a chance unless you give it one.

Life is a struggle and there is no 'one size fits all'.
You must discover your own purpose and never stop searching for it. 😎

Forget being a believer or skeptic- being a skeptical believer or believing skeptic provides for much more interesting discussion.

Light a candle and let it shine bright,
To help you through the long, lonely night.
Light a candle to touch the heart of another,
To show that we're all sisters and brothers.
Light a candle for those we have lost,
If you have lost someone, you'll know the cost.
When you have had just about as much as you can take....
Light a candle for your own sake. ~ Unknown

Life isn't waiting at the altar or the moment your child is born or that time you were swimming in a deep water and a dolphin came up alongside you. These are not life. Life is brushing your teeth or making a sandwich or watching the news or waiting for the bus. Or walking. Every day, thousands of tiny events happen and if you're not watching, if you're not careful, if you don't capture them and make them count, you could miss it. You could miss your whole life.

A child works and works, To move a large bolder but is just not strong enough.
Finally, he tells his father, "I can't do it. It's impossible."
His father responds, "Of course you can. You haven't used all the strength you have available to you yet."
The little boy answers that he has tried his hardest, and still can't do it, to which the father responds, "You haven't asked me to help you yet."

Sometimes we just have to know when to ask for help.

Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not a truth.

The Buddha was asked,” What have you gained from meditation?” He replied, ”Nothing!” However, Buddha said, “Let me tell you what I lost: Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Insecurity, Fear of Old Age and Death”

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. Terry Pratchett
